Desert Sanctuary

Six artists spend seven days on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert, near the epicentre of Australia’s extinction crisis. Here at Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary, set up by Australian Wildlife Conservancy, reintroduced animals are thriving! Alongside the scientists and Warlpiri rangers, the artists find inspiration and hope as they paint up a storm. A joyful solution to climate grief.

Featuring artists, Ana Pollak, Charmaine Pike, Michelle Hungerford, Nicolette Eisdell, Pamela Hungerford and Sophie Cape, with art critic John McDonald and AWC's scientists and rangers.
